sorry, a lot of people should go back to school (how many people here are under 13?).
Guys, you really need to look up additive and subtractive color mixing. White is all colors (either light rays or all wavelengths reflected from an object) and black is absence of light (on an object, all wave lengths get absorbed) Get a prism and think deeply if you don't believe this. Observe the temperature of a white and black sheet of paper in the sun.
Sorry, if this is a high point of wisdom in those books, I don't even want to read them, sounds awfully dull.

I only 'know' this because I was taught this. I was also given a demonstration of this using a revolving wheel with many bands of colors. When the wheel was spun very quickly it appeared white.
Things that appear white refect all colors.
Things that appear black absorb all colors.
Things that appear red, absorb all colors but red, and reflect red.
I was taught this when I was about 10 in the 1950's. There was no mention of Neale Walsch at that time.

Forgive me for pointing this out, but I believe white is the reflection of all colors and black is the absorption of all colors.
...and I make it a point to never trust anyone that says, "Trust me!".

Are you talking about mix or reflection?
I assure you Neale Walsch did not make that discovery.

Yeah, I learned that in....5th grade I think. Also I think white is just a reflection of all colors. I can't remember but I think black is a mix of all colors

Actually, no you are wrong. White is a REFLECTION of all colors! BLACK is the mix of all colors! If you don't believe me, try mixing many many many colors together and what do you get? It's not white! Yup, it's black!

Actually light is a mixture of colors, the "color" white is an absence of color where black is a combination of all colors.
