Because there are a lot of us that fear rejection. Women can be very harsh and embarassing and shy guys hate to feel that way. Also the prettier the girl the more you figure they will be rude and unkind in the advance.....I have never approached a girl at a bar once and I am 30. I am retarded in that sense!!!!

Maybe they are asking the same question about girls.
Some guys are weird about making the first move.
Some guys get nervous.
Maybe they think you don't want a move made on you.
There are many answers why they don't make the first move.

I think I will go with the rejection and shy theory. Or the guys that you want to make the first move aren't into you and thus are never going to make the first move. Or they thing low of themself and think you are too beautiful that you wont be interested in them. (rejection)

Fear of rejection. If we don't make the first move, we can't get shot down. Then again, no first move, no progress in a relationship. Damn foolish pride.

well, like most guys (including me), we are way to shy to ask a girl out, and want a girl to make the ,move, you never know if you ask a guy out, he might say yes.

Because they are afraid of rejectiion and they let their ego take over instead of their feeling besides all that they probably scared specially not knowing if you feel the same way that they do.

In my case at least, I'm just shy and don't really think that many girls will like me. I think that's the case with a lot of us.
