Your stomach ailments could be irritable bowel syndrome(IBS), esp if it runs in your family. See a gastroenterologist about that...it is related to genes, types of food you eat and stress.

It also sounds like you are having anxiety attacks related possibly to stress. Perhaps an anti-anxiety pill would help both the worrying and the stomach ailments (if it is IBS).

Dear James,

First, let us look at the symptoms of a brain tumor:

I think The Merck Manual of Medical Information provides the the most reliable, concise and easily understandable explanation:

"A headache is often the first symptom, although most headaches are not caused by brain tumors. A headache due to a brain tumor usually recurs more and more often as time passes. It eventually becomes constant without relief. It is often worse when the person lies down, and may awaken the person from sleep. A gradually growing tumor causes a headache that is worse when the person first awakens. If headaches with these characteristics start in a person who has not had headaches before, a brain tumor may be the cause."
Page 521

"The new development of such headaches requires medical attention. " Page 458

" Brain tumors may produce a change in personality. For example, a person may become withdrawn, moody, and often, inefficient at work. A person may feel drowsy, confused, and unable to think. Such symptoms are often more apparent to family members and coworkers than to the person. Depression and anxiety, especially if either develops suddenly, may be than early symptom of a brain tumor. Bizarre behavior is unusual. In older people, certain brain tumors cause symptoms that may be mistaken for those of dementia.

Other common symptoms of a brain tumor include dizziness, loss of balance, and incoordination. Later, as the pressure within the brain increases, nausea, vomitting, lethargy, drowsiness, intermittant fever, and even coma may occur. Some brain tumors cause seizures.

Depending on which area of the brain is affected, a tumor can cause an arm. leg, or one side of the body to become weak or paralyzed or can impair the ability to feel heat, cold, pressure, a light touch, or sharp objects. The ability to express or understand language may be lost. Tumors can also affect hearing, smell, and sight ( causing such symptoms as double vision and loss of vision)."

The diagnostic procedure is an MRI or a CT scan. Did they perform either?

Now second, what did the doctors say they thought you might be suffering from?

What medications, drugs and alchohol have you been taking recently?

Hope this helps.

With kind regards

Sounds very like the flu...and sometimes the symptoms carry on for awhile.

Next time you start to get sick, try taking some Vitamin C (a couple of times a day) and a natural product called Eccanacea...it builds your immune system. Both are good at helping to ward off things. If you take about 800 units of Eccanacea at first, then 400 a day for a few days, often the symptoms will just go away really quickly. Works for me every time...and I take it when I know I've been exposed to the flu (like someone coughing in my face), or when I get the sniffles, etc. If you wait too long, sometimes the flu gets a head start!

Also drinking cranberry juice or grapefruit juice when you are sick will help wash the germs out of your system....they work too!

I think you may be a little overly concerned about your health. None of the illnesses that you have described are symptoms of a brain tumor. Brain tumors usually have no symptoms until they are large enough to put pressure on surrounding structures. Then depending on what area they are pressing on, the symptoms wil be neurological--numbness, blindness, paralysis, etc. It is hard to say because you just said that you felt like you were dying but don't say what was happening.

My sister just had 10 hours worth of surgery to remove 3 brain tumors.....Her symptoms were headaches, bright flashes of light, floaters passing out ceasures and loss of vision in her right eye.... so you could prob rule out a brain tumor. You prob have a week immune system and pick up everything comming and going, you need to start taking some vit. C and excersize, I used to get everything when i was out of shape and didn't eat right. I know one thing you probably have......paranoia, are your a hypercondriac? Take it easy....You'll get better, drink some water and call your mom.....Good Luck......

Sounds like your system is a bit compromised...being sick has made you more susceptible to other illnesses. You might do best to relax, eat as well as you can and get plenty of rest. Give yourself a chance to recuperate. Brain tumors are pretty rare - unlike that you have one.

To quote The Governator in Kindergarten Cop:
"It's not a tumah."

You have a stomach bug...it's viral. There are some very nasty ones going around right now.

Get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, and call your doctor if you are still unable to keep food and fluids down. They can give you a prescription to aid in that if needed.

It sounds like the flu to me. Don't worry so much, your doctors are there to help you, not hurt you. Get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids and RELAX!

Hope you feel better=)

I'm sure you don't have a brain tumor. Maybe you have the flu. Did you get your flu shot this year?

sounds like a bad case of depression. Got it when my father died. Has someone close to you pass away or sick? Also, check out your life (in lover, lost a love) or MONO!
