The picture with the HDMI cable for my video games on PS3 Is amazing, but whenever i watch regular cable, it seems kind of out of focus. I messed with the picture settings, but i was wondering if i need to buy anything for a better picture. I replaced a 480p tv with this full 1080p and quite honestly, the picture for regular television is better on the 480. Please help, and thank you!

ok you said you have your PS3 through an hdmi input. That is waht is giving you a great pic, but usually tv's only have 1 HDMI input.

Also it will depend on how you have your TV connected. If you just have standard cable and have the tv hooked up through a coax cable ( a thick black cable you screw in) then you will only get channels in regular definition.

Satalite and cable companies should offer HD service. They will hook your TV up to a HD box and hook the hd box up to your tv through HD cables (HDMI, DVI, or component cables). With these cables you get a better pic on your regular definition channels and be able to get the hi-def channels as well....

You should expand your question a little more. If I know what type of tv service you have, and what cable/satalite company your with, I could possibly help you more.

I surely have an basic cathode ray tube television (32" widescreen) and it seems brilliant on that! of route, the better definition the television, the extra ideal the image will be. yet on the top of the day PS3 pictures are exceptional, way extra ideal than PS2 and that that that they had seem large on some thing, even a 14" colour portable!

You need to feed real HD television signals to that TV.

The PS3 looks good because you are feeding it 720 or 1080 signals - true HD video. Pop in a BluRay disk and you will have amazing video.

"regular cable" - is a video standard from the forties.
