Jesus is the Son of God. It says in the Bible that he prayed to God many times throughout his life. He also gave lots of sermons about the ways of God. I would say that yes he did worship God.

Jesus went with his parents to Jerusalem to worship Father God, so, yes, he worshiped God. He spoke to his Father in prayer very often and only did what his Father told him to do. Yes, I believe Jesus is the Son of God, the promised Messiah. He fulfilled all the old testament prophecies. He came from God to earth as a baby through Mary and he called himself the son of man. At Christmas it is Jesus' coming to earth as the Son of God that we celebrate. That was 2007 years ago and we even measure time from Jesus arrival on earth. Then he ascended back into heaven after his death and resurrection. And he is coming again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to judge the living and the dead. This is the good news that the Bible teaches.

Good question. I believe Jesus is the hypostatic union, which means He is One Personality who is with two different natures, the human nature and the divine nature. And yet, this is only one person with only one personality, not two personalities like what cult followers want to believe we are describing Him. He did worship the Father as any human would, pray to Him and call Him My God, just like Thomas called Jesus My Lord and My God! We worshipped the Christ when He was on this world, and we still do. He described Himself as the 'First and the Last' in Revelation 1:17, this is the divine nature. Then the next verse 18 He said 'AND the Living One; I died and behold I am alive forever more', this is His human nature. How else can we understand those two verses? Only the hypostatic union can successfully explain those two verses, there is nothing else that can come close to explaining the two verses.
In those two verses the cult followers would mutilate the reading of the Bible for a dogmatic cause, and yet, the words are there and so plain and understandable with pure simplicity. Would they dare go to the library and take any book off the shelf and twist their reading skills like they do to the Bible? NO! Only the Bible they like to play with. Our understanding as Orthodox Christians is to read the Bible in CONTEXT, listen and believe in what Jesus is saying as God, and explain it without twisting and distorting the meaning, in full acceptance of the wording of the Bible in CONTEXT. This is one thing the cults are not good at.

Yes I do believe that Jesus worshiped God. And Jesus is the only begotten son of God. Jesus was the only perfect human on Earth, he followed his Father's will and obeyed him through everything. Look What Jesus went through and still followed his Father's will. That is something so Fantastic. And I am so glad that I have Jesus in my heart, he did a very brave thing. He is my Savior. God Bless

Hi Sara,
This is a great question, a little tougher for me then your last one. I have never actaully pondered this thought, so thank you for asking it.
Grammatically, worship can be either a verb or noun. According to Webster's Dictionary, its verb form includes such synonyms as "esteem," "exalt," "revere," "glorify" and "respect." As a noun, it can encompass adoration, veneration, devotion, supplication and invocation. Its actual definition, though, is "reverence, honor or homage paid to God; ceremonies or services expressing such reverence." Worship thus includes both an attitude and the actions that accompany and are motivated by it.
By this definition I think it would be clear to say that Jesus worshiped God. Jesus is God so we need to look into this a little farther. To me it seems that since Jesus was both man and God, as a man he would want to worship God. As God though I believe he was being an example and showing us how he wants us to worship him.
Philippians 2:9-10 says, "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth." So high and great is Jesus that eventually the knees of everyone born or created will bend in reverent homage to Him.
From here we see that Jesus who is God, wants us to worship him.
God Bless and Merry Christmas,
In His love,

Jesus Christ is God the Son-incarnate. Jesus is a divine person, he has a fully and distinct human and divine nature. Jesus worshipped, honored, submitted, and prayed to God his Father, because he loves him. Jesus is also worshipped, because he is God's only eternal begotten Son. God bless.

Jesus is God, and also the Son of God.
Jesus said, "I and the Father are One."
Jesus said, "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father also."
Jesus is the Son, in that He was born of the virgin, and came to this earth fully man, and fully God.
Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit together make One God.

i think it can depend on which"christian" you ask. there's not a very good defining point of what a "christian" is today.
the bible teaches that Jesus was the son of God. He referred to God as His Father. There are verses where a voice came out of heaven calling Jesus, "My Son."
as far as the worship question. there are scriptures that show Jesus going to the temple specifically to worship. He also talks quite a bit about "glorifying" the Father, which that is a type of worship as well.
hope that helps!

Christians believe that Jesus is God, because Jesus is part of the trinity( the Father, the Son ,and the Holy Spirit)

When jesus was real small he prob worshipped his dad, like most small kids do, when he got older dad prob pissed him off like when God told him to take out the trash or wash the car or walk the dog. But when Jesus became a dad himself he prob realized that what God did made him a better man and father.
If God acted like jesus's dad that's all that matters, as opposed to whether he was really his dad. The guy listed on my birth certificate isn't really my biological father (becuase my mother is a whore) but he treats me like his true son.
