Everytime I try to download mozilla firefox, my internet explorer says it has encountered an error and must restart. It has done is like 20 times now. I dont like internet explorer, anyone know how I can get by this?

You need to do a full virus scanning to see whether it has been infected.
If no virus, then you IE may be damaged, you need to re-install it. Go to http://www.microsoft.com to download a latest IE. However, IE7 does have bug to handicap download.
It is time to change to Mac. ; or ask your friend to download and make a CD-ROM for you. Then you can do the installation.
