I know there's a freeware alphabetizer, and I thought that would do numbers with words behind it correctly, but it ignored the numbers. Can anyone help me?

I hope you are talking about a Word table or Excel worksheet, with the numbers in a separate column.

Then, in Word, select the whole table, click Table, Sort.
Indicate the column on which you want to sort and whether or not you have headers.

In Excel, click the table-select button (to the left of A, just above 1.
With the whole Excel file selected, click Data, Sort.

You can try using the SORT feature in MS Excel?
