My parents did an excellent job raising me, and now I'm a freshman at college. Since I moved out my mom has been a hurricane of emotions. She smothers me with love when I visit, but is convinced the college life has turned me into a rageing alchaholic. I've always been honest with my parents because I thought I had earned their trust? I'm 19 years old and my mom is now watching me closer than ever, how can I get her off my back?!

Your mom is also basing your drinking because you as a college student. It is known that students college do a great deal of partying that's involve drinking alcohol, but this do not applied to all students.

My suggesting is to invite your mom to spend the day with you at school. Let your mom know that you prioritize your schedule, and show it to her. Your studies come first and then light parties you do afterward. Introduce your friends to your mom, by inviting them to dinner. This will give her a chance to know the type of friends you hang out with. I hope you have good friends.

I know your mom is trying to put a leash on you, but understand you are very important to her. Honestly, you just want to assure her that you will be okay. If you are doing extensive drinking, you are heading down the wrong track. Your mom will be correct about your consuming alcohol. The drinking has to stop. You must stay focus on your studies.

Your parents don't want to busy you. When the Lord calls them, they want you to busy them. The worst parent nightmare is getting that fatal phone call in the middle of the night. God bless.

Mom's have a really hard time when their children leave and go away to college. She will lighten up a bit as time go's on. Simply explain to her if you were drinking and partying all of the time your grades would reflect this. And then take a deep breath and pray. She will lighten up a bit sooner or later. Good luck and God bless****

She's mom. It just comes naturally. Just don't drink and do good at college and that will make her the happiest women alive. Believe me, drinking and drugs will kill you eventually, after taking everything you ever worked and studied for.
