THE BIBLE IS JEHOVAH'S WITNESS AND JESUS IS THE GREATEST Rev.3:14;

The bible is so different than all the religions individually or put together, that I can not imagine the truth and the way that caused the first followers of Jesus to be called Christians, to be called a religion, why should any one study the bible and study the religions and then decide to call themself, just another religion, a chip off the old block. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT HAS TO BE THE MODERN DEFINITION OF RELIGION?

RELIGION CAN BE IN VAIN?

James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

WHAT ARE THE THINGS OF THE WORLD John 18:38; Jesus was no part of the world.

A bible student has a lot to learn. I made up my mind that I have one life to live and it would take most of that to learn the bible, so I'm not going to be of any religion.
At 2007 after Christ, the bible has been in circulation in the world 396 years,
at 303 yrs was WW1, at 334 yrs ends WW2 & holocaust, at 363 yrs ends the Vietnam conflict, at 380, 391 to 396 [ prophecy ]; the Euphrates area conflict continues.
I believe the bible to be the most truthful and reliable and dependable source in the world.
So Jehovah's Witnesses are doing their best to learn and teach the bible for the same reason I left religion [ when I was age 27, 44 years ago ], bible is bible and 1000 religions is 1000 religions and what they know is easy as they just select that which supports their religion and I want the whole of it.
People talk about this wrong that wrong and the other wrong, at least they try and the best education system possible, even able to show the world. It is the heaven and hell situation is the worst possible belief in the whole world. Go for the whole bible.

However, the best thing to do is to talk to a Witness of Jehovah, one-on-one.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.

They believe that:
*Jehovah is the name of the Almighty God, the Sovereign of the Universe;
*Jesus is God's son, the first creation with whom God created the Universe;
*true Christians must reject firmly every pagan doctrine, holiday, conception;
*true Christians must preach the good news of the Kingdom as Jesus and his disciples did and because Jesus himself commanded so;
*men don't have immortal souls. When they die they cease to exist;
*hell is the common grave of the humankind;
*there will be a resurrection;
*only 144,000 people go to heaven. They will rule with Jesus as kings, judges, and priests over mankind.
*soon, righteous people will posses forever the earth which will be transformed in paradise;
*etc.

Jehovah's Witnesses are relatively unique among self-described Christians in that they understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Yes.

However I suggest you ask the next one that comes to your door or maybe you see out in the ministry.

Others here have provided the website if you would rather go that route.

Their beliefs are listed in their publications. You can find a copy of Watchtower and Awake! in most laundromats. These are the magazines that they hand out in malls and leave in the laundromats. You can also get a copy of their translation of the bible (bad) called the New World Translation and read for yourself. They will be more than happy to give you one for free if you just ask for it.

watchtower.org is their official website, click on the tab "belief" to read for yourself.

PS-many christian ministries also offer a guide from a christian perspective.
