I counter your question with another...Is it possible to be a dilemmanaddict? Some like it bitter...some like it sweet, this dilemmanade. To some it looks like pee...to others it is the juice of the sun. For myself, when in the middle of the dilemmanade, I see pee and try for the life of me to swim out. But after I reach shore, I realize the pee was really a "golden" opportunity. So, it is bittersweet, and no matter on which viewpoint (pee or sun juice) I dwell, I know that it was I who brewed the elixir of Karmanade (its brand name, sold in stores worldwide by some enterprising kapitalist, who probably stiffed me on the rights). I am (probably not) Sirius

It is only a dilemma when part of the picture is not understood. Though the easiest way to avoid them is to always be truthful in our life.... that is the best delemmanade!
It works because it creates rest for the mind and that allows it to explore life and gather more information about it. Indeed one starts to see the pieces of the dilemma puzzle and from the picture when we can see clearly there is no dilemma. The truth, if embraced every day will start to help one see dilemmas coming and they go away or we pass them by as passerby

Based on what you have written, I would say that it's not unethical to avoid paying taxes if it's strictly legal. By that I mean that there are no other "cut corners." For example, I don't know that much about state taxes, but do you think it's unethical that most corporations are incorporated in the State of Delaware because supposedly that's where it's the best place to be incorporated? Now if in the course of avoiding taxes, they are also doing something else that's unethical or illegal, that's another thing altogether. Let me close by giving an example. If the company you took the interview with said, "We have assigned all our income in advance of earning it to a hospital research foundation and therefore we don't pay any taxes at all," would you have found that unethical? So what they did was similar except that the owners, or partners, get to keep more of what they make? And yes, it does seem strange that a company would tell you about their tax accounting strategies in the course of an interview, and also very strange that you wouldn't at least work for them long enough to pay your own bills, since not paying bills is also kinda unethical, isn't it?

Well, I might panic just for a second, first! Today we had a massive red-dust laden storm, and my husband is away and I was freaked for a minute. I got the cats in the front room with me, then went to the back of the house (a 100 year old stone house) to look out a tiny window (from the loo) and the sky was dark red (it was 3.30 in the afternoon) and the house looked like it was night...........and I sat in the dark listening to the wind bash the house, and thought, ok this is what you're getting today.....just go with it and it will pass. It did, and everything is painted red........and trees down etc, but we're ok and the power's back on. It is very hot........the air conditioner went off.........so I just sweated it out and sms'd my husband. I made some dilemmonade by cheering up the 2 cats and knew that I am protected no matter what......so I relaxed. Power's on now and my husband just rang to see if the roof's still on......it is and we laughed because he'd just put in some insulation in the roof just before he went away and had put in all new screws!

When life serves me dilemmas, I get out my Louisville Slugger and I hit that baby out of the park. Then I stand there waiting for the next one. Bring it on!

The dilemma is all about choosing the path from right & wrong. Depending on what you believe & on your capacity you choose the path as per your liking.
Therefore it is all about knowing moral values. If you are firm in that , then all the dilemmas VANISH !!

i use my dilemmas to brew up some opiate dilemmanade =D
much better than regular dilemmanade =P
like how?
the juice of 6 dilemmas (1 for every 50 grams of seeds) + 300 grams opium poppy seeds OR 4 grams of powdered poppy pods + hot water + 20 minutes of stirring
then you gotta filter out the seeds with something, i use coffee filters :)
be careful, first time i did it i made quite a mess
*giggles*

As a sometimes therapist, when a client presents me with a dilemma ...
like, "Let me pay you extra, I'm getting so much out of this"--but it feels off, like they're looking somehow to distract themselves from the actual work they're doing ... but then if I say "no," they might take it as some kind of insult
... I say so. I don't say yes; I don't say no. I say, "I have a dilemma," and then I look to describe what I'm seeing or sensing. Something like, "I'm wondering if you're looking somehow to distract yourself from something, but then I wonder that if I say 'no' to you it may seem like some kind of insult." And then I just let them sit with that.
In other words, to me, making dilemma-aid involves just describing (rather than necessarily prescribing), and being mindfully present to whatever's going on. Being open-minded and open-hearted, "being there" with what is unfolding, inviting it to let me know what it is about, what it is "doing," what it most needs.
