Your body will NOT lose wt once it's gone into "starvation mode". I'm anorexic so believe me, I know. You have to eat.
Just try to eat healthy choices (Barilla Protein Pasta is good for when you want bread) & stay around 1000 calories a day & then exercise (walking is great!)
What I do to "jumpstart" wt loss is one day, I overeat (for me). I allow myself treats or whatever I want in moderation but I EAT. This seems to fool the body. Then it relaxes b/c it doesn't feel there's a starvation threat. Then the next day, go back to your 1000 diet.
By the way, the eating habits you have described are EXACTLY that of an anorexic person. You may not be as thin as you want...but you are on your way to Anorexia.
And even though you probably won't listen, I'm going to tell you from personal experience, you DO NOT want to become anorexic. I thought I did. And at first it was awesome, having so much control, losing so much wt, having something to focus on...but then it slowly becomes a nightmare. The obsession with food, calories, exercise, the scale, it's all horrible.
Not only that but you will lose your hair, your skin will become dry & your nails will look awful.
Please think about doing this the healthy way. My Mom & other ppl I know swear by the South Beach Diet. It's good, it's healthy & you get to eat a lot of things you thought you wouldn't on a diet.
Good luck!

Your diet is not sensible and will not be successful. Your calorie intake is way too low and your body will compensate by lowering metabolism and slowing weight loss. You can safely lose about 1-2 lbs per week, so by Feb you can lose 6-10 lbs, if you eat at least 1200 calories a day. Eating less may result in less weight loss.
You need to eat 3-4 servings of carbs, 2-3 servings of protein and 3-4 servings of milk or dairy products every day in addition to 5-10 servings of fruit and veggies.
BTW, your weight is healthy for your height. You can weigh between 105 to 155 at 5'8" and be healthy.

yeah you probably will lose weight but i think its not realistic to do it for a long time especially if you love rice. I think its best if you just use portion control and eat rice but a little bit and you will lose wieght( usually 1/3 cup of rice counts as 1 starch) and your weight being around 145-150 you should consume 3 starches a day if you want to lose wieght. I had a friend who did the atkins diet and ate no rice or bread for a long time and she lost a lot of wieght but she had saggy skin after because of the rapid wieght loss.after losing wieght she starting eating lots fo rice because she deprived her self from rice and bread for so long. I think PORTION CONTROL is the key to healthy longterm wieghtloss. your too young to say i am dying you can dooo it just have faith if you cant do it then try wieght watcher dinners or jenny craig there is help out there. good luck

First of all, stop being so vain. As long as your belly can only be compressed by a few millimeters, you don't need to lose weight.
Peanut butter IS good for you because of the protein in it. Believe it or not, PB&J sandwiches are among the healthiest snacks to have.
Something might have a lot of calories, but ignore that. The thing you want to look for is calories from fat and the amount of carbs and sugar. Eating protein builds muscle, but it has lots of calories. For that reason, many people wrongly avoid protein.
Eggs and skim milk with toast for breakfast, some baked meat, vegetables, and juice for lunch, and whole grain spaghetti with meat balls, vegetables, and skim milk for dinner are great meal ideas. You can still indulge in good food, as long as you avoid fat and carbs. Remember, calories themselves aren't bad. If it's protein that's making the calories, it's OK to eat as much as you want.

Eat brown rice (a holy whole grain) instead of rice (refined white rice). See last fat loss tip on site below to see the huge difference. Also has other weight loss strategies.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
