I don't know what's in my own laptop's battery, but mom's laptop says hers has cadmium in it..a cancer causing metal right? So if I sit my laptop on my stomach to watch movies couldn't I maybe develop cancer in my stomach or ovaries from that? The battery would be *right there*.. I don't know..I just thought about it and it kinda creeped me out

I think everything causes cancer these days. I wouldn't really worry about it.
Drink some green tea and things should even out. ;)

i doubt it, but one thing i would suggest is that overuse of cell phones can cause cancer. Think about it, your holding a transciever right next to your brain the whole time. It both sends and recieves radio signals. That cant be good for u.

The Cadmiun would have to come in direct contact with your skin or be ingested to have any effect , so you should be OK

yes you can get cancer from that
i advise you to not do what you are doing
lay your laptop on a table or something instead.
