A great site for flights is with "18K Travel"

http://www.ytbtravel.com/18ktravel

use the "one way and advanced flight search" and use the 1 to 3 day search on either side of your departure and return flight.

Here are the best prices for following dates:

Depart on 24 Dec and return on:

31 Dec: $303
1 Jan: $300
2 Jan: $328
3 Jan: $225
4 Jan: $224
5 Jan: $224
6 Jan: $229

I would consider these low prices a Christmas gift. All you do is take a morning flight on Dec 24 and you will be in KC by afternoon or evening with your family and friends. If you depart on 21 or 22 Dec you will pay twice as much. The important thing is that you get there on Christmas eve.

Here are prices for more the more costly flights:

Depart on 23 Dec and return on:

31 Dec: $353
1 Jan: $378
2 Jan: $378
3 Jan: $403
4 Jan: $403
5 Jan: $403
6 Jan: $403

Depart on 22 Dec and return on:
31 Dec: $460
1 Jan: $485
2 Jan: $485
3 Jan: $486
4 Jan: $410
5 Jan: $438
6 Jan: $410

Best of luck and have a very Merry Christmas.

Go directly to the air line website that is how I get mine. I like to use Alaska Airlines or Southwest.
Or you can Google cheap airfare and you will come up with a few sites to check out..

Hate to say it, but you probably should have planned this out far ahead of time. One because it's a very busy time to travel, Two because tickets are usually cheapest 21 or more days away.
