Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses are both self-described Christians. The religions resemble each other in very superficial ways, but their theologies are markedly different.
As individuals, many Witnesses note that adherents of Mormonism have a reputation for neighborliness and godly love which is too uncommon among self-described Christians.
(John 13:34-35) I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.”
It is also true that Mormonism has managed to recognize a few of the obvious bible truths that continue to evade most of Christendom, such as recognizing that Jesus the Son is a distinct person from God the Father.
(Mark 13:32) Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.
(John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “...For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’”
Also, it is interesting that only Jehovah's Witness and Mormonism have any real program of lay-ministry in which every adherent is encouraged to preach.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
Jehovah's Witnesses work to spread the Good News about the Kingdom of God, and so that is the focus of their message; they do not work at targeting any specific religion. Of course, "Mormonism" is not a single religion, but the so-called 'Latter-day Saints' tolerance of holiday celebrations, warfare, and nationalism are among the beliefs which Jehovah's Witnesses feel are incompatible with true worship.
It seems best to allow Mormons themselves to describe the uniqueness of their beliefs regarding various post-biblical holy writings, modern-day literal prophesy, the correlation between the physical and spirit realms, and the various levels of grandeur in heaven.

Our fundamental beliefs are nothing like each other. At all!
If you are referring to the LDS missionaries and the JW's (and I am sorry, I don't know what they are called) there are some differences.
1. LDS missionaries are either young men and women or retirement age couples. The older couples do not usually proselyte or go door-knocking.
2. Proselyting missionaries are either a pair of women or a pair of men. Never a mixed couple.
3. LDS missionaries have a bunch of different "types" of missions. In addition to proselyting missionaries, there are health missionaries (usually RNs) who teach nutrition and also keep other missionaries healthy. There are missionaries (usually the older couples) who teach school, or help find LDS members employment, or do geneology and so on. My aunt and uncle are in Ethiopia installing water pumps for wells and helping teach them some agricultural techniques and self-reliance. I am not sure if JW's have missionaries who work in these capacities.
3. LDS missionaries, regardless of age, or of the type of mission, wear a black name tag with their either Elder or Sister and then their last name, followed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
4. LDS missionaries also spend anywhere from 3-12 weeks in a missionary training centre to learn how to teach, and how to speak the language of the country they will be assigned to. I am not aware of any similar facility for Jehovah's Witnesses, nor am I aware of JW's sending their missionaries abroad.
Is that sort of what you were asking about?

properly, Jehovah's Witnesses have faith in basic terms what's taught contained in the Bible. it is unique between the three. As regards a soul, Genesis 2:7 identifies what a soul is. "God proceeded to form the guy out of airborne dirt and dust from the floor and to blow into his nostrils the breath of lifestyles, and the guy got here to be a residing SOUL." It by no potential says a soul grow to be an upload-on, yet a human will become a residing soul. maximum all the thousand or so translations now in use agree it is the excellent translation. Now the different 2 religions have their very own dreamed up concepts of what the soul is. yet it is what the Bible itself teaches. Can the soul die or is it immortal? back going to the Bible at Ezekiel 18:4, ". 4 seem! each and every of the souls—to me they belong. because of the fact the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul this is sinning—it itself will die." Repeating, "The soul this is sinning—it itself will die." it is not immortal, putting around bothering the residing. alongside with this, the question of do all human beings sin? This too must be responded. Romans 5:12 does respond. "it is the reason, purely as by way of one guy sin entered into the international and dying by way of sin, and to that end dying unfold to all men for the reason that they had all sinned—." this is why all of us die regardless of all efforts. Inherited sin surpassed down from Adam. considering that it is what the Bible teaches, it is what Jehovah's Witnesses have faith. you hit upon the others all get their concepts from pagan religions like hellfire and souls being eternal as ghosts. in fact, this is the place they are starting to be to be maximum of their teachings. each and every of the trip trips come from there relabeled. different than Easter, which they stole from pagans without changing something. there are a number of different issues diverse. This in basic terms hits the severe factors, which could comprise using God's very own call translated into English as Jehovah or Yahweh. The Bible tells us to apply that call and declare it as Jesus did at John 17:4-5. the different religions attempt to conceal it, bury it as much as they are in a position to. info is located contained in the KJV of 1611, the only maximum folk have of their residences. There the divine call is used 4 situations. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 80 3:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4. ) yet contained in the Revised KJV, it quite is scratched out fullyyt. this is fake religions doing that.

You are getting a lot of misinformation from these answers and I would check them from the original source before you believe them. Mormons, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, have not practiced polygamy in over 100 years and as for the raping and forcing children to marry and whatever they may be mistaken for another church which used to call themselves the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but have since changed their name to Community of Christ. (This is the church that is getting news coverage and such because of their leader Warren Jeffs and the things that he is being accused of) Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons are slightly similar in some general aspects but they are very different from one another. Oh, and they are not cults.

One of the main differences is their views on who the Man Jesus was.
Latter-day Saints claim he was our spiritual brother, albeit the first-born among us. He was allowed to pursue his plan of salvation over that of Lucifer's because he allowed mankind to have free choice in whether or not to follow God's teachings in this life. He is now a god, as we all can be, and resides with Heavenly Father (God the Father) on high.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe Jesus is divine. They believe he is a divine agent, but merely a man that pursued God's will.
Interestingly enough, they both believe that His death and resurrection is not all that is needed for salvation, but have additional rules and regulations instructing their followers on how to be with God on Heaven.

What beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses set them apart as different from other religions?
(1) Bible: Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.
(2) God: They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually identified as belonging to the one group—“Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
(3) Jesus Christ: They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of God’s creations; that he had a prehuman existence and that his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914.
(4) God’s Kingdom: They believe that God’s Kingdom is the only hope for mankind; that it is a real government; that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.
(5) Heavenly life: They believe that 144,000 spirit-anointed Christians will share with Christ in his heavenly Kingdom, ruling as kings with him. They do not believe that heaven is the reward for everyone who is “good.”
(6) The earth: They believe that God’s original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled; that the earth will be completely populated by worshipers of Jehovah and that these will be able to enjoy eternal life in human perfection; that even the dead will be raised to an opportunity to share in these blessings.
(7) Death: They believe that the dead are conscious of absolutely nothing; that they are experiencing neither pain nor pleasure in some spirit realm; that they do not exist except in God’s memory, so hope for their future life lies in a resurrection from the dead.
(8) Last days: They believe that we are living now, since 1914, in the last days of this wicked system of things; that some who saw the events of 1914 will also see the complete destruction of the present wicked world; that lovers of righteousness will survive into a cleansed earth.
(9) Separate from the world: They earnestly endeavor to be no part of the world, as Jesus said would be true of his followers. They show genuine Christian love for their neighbors, but they do not share in the politics or the wars of any nation. They provide for the material needs of their families but shun the world’s avid pursuit of material things and personal fame and its excessive indulgence in pleasure.
(10) Apply Bible counsel: They believe that it is important to apply the counsel of God’s Word in everyday life now—at home, in school, in business, in their congregation. Regardless of a person’s past way of life, he may become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses if he abandons practices condemned by God’s Word and applies its godly counsel. But if anyone thereafter makes a practice of adultery, fornication, homosexuality, drug abuse, drunkenness, lying, or stealing, he will be disfellowshipped from the organization.

Mormon's are the ones with the white shirts and ties, usually send younger people to your door. Jehova's witness's usually send forth their women and children while dad sits in the car......best to avoid both at all costs.......but in my personal opinion Mormons are a tid bit crazier (not a joke, look up their belief....seriously...I think there is an educational video on YouTube).......scary bunch they are....both groups..........
