It depend on the individual. Some men are totally disinterested in sex by the time they're 50 while other men are going strong at 80. Some women are completely uninterested by the time their 55 and others are chasing the mailman around when they're 80. So, it all depends on the individual.

Sex is never a 'need' (people don't die if they don't have it) but it's a strong desire for many.
Males and females can have sex well into their senior years much of the time...men in their 70s have been known to father children (i'm not sure the oldest man to do so)...I'd think even people in their 80s and maybe older could still perform, especially women since their roll is easier in the sense they don't have to get an erection and men's bodies (penii) do sometimes betray them.

So far, into the 90s for the closeness and as a means of expressing love. I know a couple, he's 94 and she's 91. I read once that as long as the man doesn't stop having sex for a long time when he gets elderly, he can continue. The exception is smokers. Male smokers start having erection problems in their 50s and have to use viagra. The cure is to stop smoking.

There are studies of men and women in their late nineties and a few women over a hundred.I would not dare to guess and age and if there still rockin the boat I say oh yeah go for it ! Rock on

Most of their lives. Women can always have sex, men might run into problems getting/maintaining erections with age, but there's no definate age for it to happen. As far as I know, they'll enjoy it their whole lives.

People never stop needing intimacy, regardless of age. Advances in medications now allow men to have sex until they are well into their 80's.
