I have a friend who is getting back into the church after having been away for some time and I would like to give her something to mark that. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I know some Religions don't approve of religious jewelry.

No it isn't. We do not belive that we should worship any form of idols or pictures crosses or anything, because in the bible, it tells stright out that we shouldn't be bowing down to idols or crosses. thank you for thinking about your friend, but give your friend a t-shirt or a neckless that doesnt have any kind of symbols.

The bible is Jehovah's witness, Jesus is the greatest witness Rev.3:14;

The bible answers all questions, so where does it say give a gift of any kind.

Do people ever try to do exactly as the holy prophets and apostles did? Is this what the bible is all about?

Not a stupid Q, at all. A JW would not wear a cross or any religious jewelry.

If she is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Please do not give her a cross. And please do not make it into a stake like 'PediC Again', suggested.

The following is the reason why...
Galatians 3:13 - "Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse instead of us, because it is written: “Accursed is every man hanged upon a stake.”"

It is an insult to Jesus and to Jehovah to wear.
It would be like wearing the murder weapon...
And that is very distasteful and unappealing to us...

Thank-you for asking, and I hope you have success...

Journey Well...

No Don't give her a cross and for some that may not know JW do believe in Jesus and that he died on a torture stake for our salvation and that the only way to that salvation is threw him and any JW that says other wise is not only a liar but one at all........

Please don't say you're giving it as a Christmas gift too? lol Your question is confusing, as you say she is getting back into "the church" but you don't say if she is returning to her religion as a JW.

They don't believe Jesus was crucified on a cross.They are adamant about that.They believe it was just a straight stake. It would ,therefore, offend her more than anything.
