God did not create hell. Hell is the state of being where one freely goes when one freely chooses not to have God in their live. Hell is life without God. It is created by the individual.

God is our parent but didn't create Hell specifically for us. Proof? See Matthew 25:41 where Jesus, the Son of God, says that Hell, called everlasting fire, was prepared for the Devil and his angels. Hell was never intended for humans, but when Adam and Eve rebelled against God, they instantly chose Satan's way.
We can't forget God's graciousness, either. All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's perfection, but He loved us (and still does) and gave us a way to escape it. If you've been on this forum any length of time at all you'll read postings by many believers who have shared the message. I hope you'll look these over.
But we can't forget this: some people want nothing to do with God and would still rather follow Satan. If someone wants nothing to do with God in this life, why would they want anything to do with Him in the next? So God allows people to make their choice. He won't force His love or forgiveness on anybody. Rather like a parent, wouldn't you say?

God is our Father. Why all the different things are going on or why God does what he does is not mine to ask. I think there is a greater truth then we are seeing. We mere humans have know consept what God knows or why there is a hell or why the Angels left God to follow Satan. We were created for Gods pleasure and I believe that we are only a small part of a much bigger picture.

I have to love the answers that say God did not create Hell.
If God created everything then He created Hell too.
Some other answers say that Hell is being apart from God, but of God is everywhere then how can anything be apart from God, even in Hell.
No, the secret is to just believe the parts you like and not think about the conflicts. Logic or common sense will destroy religion if you apply them to it.
But the real truth is that it is just mythology.

It depends on the religion. Most religions are NOT Christianity, and therefore have no concept of Hell or an equivalent.
In the religion I follow, we view the Gods as truly loving us unconditionally -- Their love is poured forth upon the Earth to sustain and nourish us all, no matter what our religion or philosophy.

I think this will help a lot sweetie.......
Much confusion and misunderstanding has been caused through the early translators of the Bible persistently rendering the Hebrew Sheol and the Greek Hades and Gehenna by the word hell. The simple transliteration of these words by the translators of the revised editions of the Bible has not sufficed to appreciably clear up this confusion and misconception.”—The Encyclopedia Americana (1942), Vol. XIV, p. 81.
Translators have allowed their personal beliefs to color their work instead of being consistent in their rendering of the original-language words. For example: (1) The King James Version rendered she’ohl′ as “hell,” “the grave,” and “the pit”; hai′des is therein rendered both “hell” and “grave”; ge′en·na is also translated “hell.” (2) Today’s English Version transliterates hai′des as “Hades” and also renders it as “hell” and “the world of the dead.” But besides rendering “hell” from hai′des it uses that same translation for ge′en·na. (3) The Jerusalem Bible transliterates hai′des six times, but in other passages it translates it as “hell” and as “the underworld.” It also translates ge′en·na as “hell,” as it does hai′des in two instances. Thus the exact meanings of the original-language words have been obscured.
Since these Hebrew and Greek words refer to an individual burial place or grave site, they are often used in the plural as referring to many such graves. They are, therefore, distinct from the Hebrew she’ohl′ and its Greek equivalent hai′des, which refer to the common grave of mankind, or gravedom, and hence are always used in the singular. For this reason many modern translations have not followed the practice of the King James Version, in which she’ohl′ and hai′des are alternately rendered by the words “hell,” “grave,” and “pit,” but have instead simply transliterated them into English.

God only needed Mary to conceive Jesus, God only needed Elisabeth to conceive John the Baptist, God only needed Eve to create the world. God is our Father.
Man is a spirit. The spirit was called man. And God create him (man) the spirits, male and female.
Born not of flesh, nor of blood, nor the will of man, but of God.

your not a parent..but if you were one..and your child disobeys you..will you punish them?
what makes it hard to understand is Hell seems like such an extreme...but, God is working on an eternity basis, when your child disobeys your only going by that minute, our lifespan is only a minute compared to God's eternity..but since we can't live eternity we can't understand the concept of it.
however, in the endtimes it is believed by revealations that when God makes the new heaven and the new earth....those who proclaim to trust him and love him will be able to live on earth in the new kingdom. not completely sure, but I think this is where the concept of purgatory comes from.

Because God is a sadist. There are parents out there who torture and kill their children. God wouldn't be happy until he knew Abraham was willing to murder his own son. Therefore, I can say in all certainty, many of us humans are more loving and devoted to their children than God is to his children.

You know um, I believe in Divine Energy. But the Christian God is just a daddy figure to needy people. Your Daddy didn't create "hell." People created hell.
