people talk about giving gifts for toys for tots and other Charity but they don't want them going to parents who are on welfare b/c they haven't been trying to get a a job or people who are out buying crack cocain , or any drug lol, instead of buying gifts for there kids. I agree that if the parents arenot making an effort too bad for them but the kids should still have a good Christmas. Would you want to pick who you gave your charity to?

I think that charity is freely giving of one's time, money, or worldly goods with no strings attached or judgments made. That being said, there is definitely something to be said for charity that is focused towards improving the conditions of life for the intended recipient rather than encouraging the destructive lifestyle of the needy. There is a place for both directed charity and the less discriminating charity and practicing both works for the betterment of the world.

When a person donates to a charity, he should be aware of the leaders involved, what their goal is, how they reach out and to whom, who benefits most and how much of the collections go to administrative expenses. We donate to a small number of charities like American Heart Assn, American Lung Assn, Salvation Army, United Way and MD. We have friends who have used the services of these organizations.

No, all the children should be treated equally. It isn't their fault, many of the parents got laid off, it is hard finding jobs, inflation has skyrocketed. Don't take it out on the kids! It isn't their fault and they need to be loved too, regardless of who their parents are.

Well, no. Its for the kids, regardless of their parental situation, as long as it gets to a kid in need, thats all i want.if they have smart parents with hardships, or dumb ones who dont care about their children having a nice childhood, it all comes down to the kids being happy.
