I was diagnosed with arthritis at 24. The doctor never even told me what kind, so I assume it's osteoarthritis (both hips and knees). When I started having symptoms at age 19, I was anything but overweight. I've no idea why I got it at such a young age. It has gotten worse in the recent past-almost unbearable at times. Heating pads don't help much, and I only have a shower-no tub. I used to exercise regularly, but lately, I haven't had the time. When I don't exercise, the pain gets severe. There are times, at night, when I literally cannot move without screaming. I'm wondering what over-the-counter meds really work best when it gets like that. I don't want to take both analgesics and NSAIDs at the same time, but I have. My dr. gave me Ultracet as well, but a limited amount, and no refills. I'm getting back into the exercise routine, but until I build some muscle around those joints again, I want to know others' experiences with otc pain pills. I also take Osteo Biflex regularly.

If you don't want to take pain pills and NSAIDS at the same time, there's a prescription Nsaid that comes in drops. It's called Pennsaid. You rub it directly on the knees etc. My husband has osteo-artiritis in his knees, and it seems to help. Also with the drops, you don't have to worry about stomach problems.

Alternate systems of medicine can only help you.

There is no medicine for RA, OA, H/A, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating All pains confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid ALL COLD THINGS.
If possible come to INDIA if you can't get proper treatment.
