Whether he said no because he has a gf, is not looking for a relationship, or he is not interested it doesnt matter...Dust yourself off.... hold your head high, smile and move forward.
More importantly give yourself a lot of credit for being upfront with the guy. Not many people can do that. I am sure you have seen how many people post questions in Yahoo answers About how to approach or ask out someone they like..
good thing is that...There will be always be other guys ... give it time, before you know it you will be looking back at this amazed at yourself for taking initiative and having confidence like that. Sure it did not end up the way you wanted it... but you layed it out in the open - took a chance, wasnt meant to be, but you did it, you put yourself out there.
trust me, you will get over it.

this may not help but its worth a try. this story is true, by the way.
so, theres this girl and she asked out this guy. he said of course not why would i go out with u!? she was so crushed, but she tryed again like a month later and he said yes.
could happen, u never know.
hold ur head up high, though he might have said no, u are probably still a great person, and he is missing out.

some times it better to start out being friends than just going ahead and asking someone out but hey just move on because im sure theres a lot more guys out there and you were just not meant to be with this guy
