Hi--I have been on a lot of different meds. I have severe social anxiety and depression. For the first time in LONG TIME, I feel very good and stable. I am on Effexor XR in the morning for depression and a Klonopin for anxiety. At night I am on Seroquel for Sleep, anxiety, and a mood stablizer, along with another Klonopin. They All work great together. I wish you the best..take care.

Hello,
I wish I can tell you what the best medicine is. I don't know. What I can advise is to please consider taking something that you do not become physically addicted to. I've taken Klonopin for a number of years and can't get off of it. I don't abuse it, of course and take just what I need. But if I ever wanted to get off of it, I would need to do it at a snail's pace. If I'm ever in a situation where I don't have a pill, I could have a seizure. I don't like the feeling of being so dependent on a pill. I wish I can go back to where you are now so that I can make a better choice.
I hope and pray that you get the help you need so that you can live a functional and fullfilling life.

Well, I have had experience with Prozac and Zoloft, and I can say that it is "what not to take". It made me more down and depressed than ever, and I felt strung out and crappy. I can honestly say that xanax is great, if taken in moderation and no mixing with alcohol. It helps relax and calm me, and is a great factor in sleeping. That takes care of your anxiety. As for depression, I seem to think that dealing with it helps more than feeling that numbness. Sex is great when I am not on an anti-depressant. Good luck!!!

I don't recommend prescription medications (anxiolytics) for anxiety, because of the side effects, and withdrawal problems. See anxiety treatments, at * ezy-build (below) in section 6. Set yourself a fixed limit for worrying about any particular subject, (say; 15 minutes) after which, resolve firmly to refuse to even consider that subject again on that day: realise and accept that to do otherwise would be counterproductive to your mental health, and enjoyment of life. Use the technique for reprogramming negative thoughts and internal monologue (self talk), on pages 2, and 2L, to help you in this, and consider carrying a wide rubber band in your pocket: put it on your wrist; stretch, and release, as a means of reinforcing it, and speeding up the process, re-pocketing it afterwards. Practise one of the relaxation methods on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, daily, and when needed. Also, give the EFT version for use in public places, a good tryout, to see if it helps you (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you massage/lightly tap your temples) . Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o at * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris also refer. I'd try the herbal remedies, if the above techniques didn't help enough, after several weeks. If you are still credulous enough to believe that there is a magic pill out there that will solve all your problems, at least check it out first at www.drugs.com and www.crazymeds.us so you have some idea of the risks, and side effects to be on the lookout for.

Just be careful with xanax. It's very addictive.
That being said, I take xanax and neurontin, oh, and by the way I also take paxil & desipramine. Sex drive is not an issue for me.

Too bad loracette is addictive. That helps calm, and gives an instant erection to any stimuli, at least in my case. I took it for a vasectomy, and had sex the same day. That stuff is crazy. Try it as an alt, in case what you normally take is hurting your sex life!
