Everytime I see St.Peter's basilica, I wonder how much money it takes to maintain the Vatican City for a year. Is there any statistics that show the budget?

Catholic News Service although a little dated has information on that subject, http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/0603949.htm
You can also find some budget statistics for various years at Catholic World News, www.cwnews.com.
The World Bank Database, www.worldbank.org might also give you the figures you are looking for.

As long as every one who's not a priest keeps working hard and giving their share, I don't think anyone in the Vatican cares how much they spend. The Pope is garbed in expensive finery, meanwhile, the poor kids in Africa have nothing to wear. Shameless.

I agree with Jess, they have way too many luxuries while there are children in this world that have nothing.
