God doesn't allow or dis-allow anything. God has, nor wants "control" over anything that happens on this or any other planet. That's definitely not to say that God doesn't exist, but It doesn't work that way. I know I'm going to catch a lot of flak ove that answer from people who have no idea what I'm talking about. Control is strictly a human, or ego, concept with no validity or usefulness in the Absolute.

Not to diminish the lunacy of it, but the girl was clearly nuts. If you read the transcripts of the trail, they actually gave her every chance to get out of her jam. On several occasions she promised she'd be good, and was sent off to a convent. Each time she broke her solemn undertakings - especially to stop wearing men's clothing, which was considered deeply weird at the time.
Nowadays she'd receive a little counselling, and some meds to stop her hallucinations. They didn't have such niceties, and her behaviour was classic heresy and possible possession.

God gave us free will . He honors our choices, however honorable or dispictable they are. We will be accountable for them after this life.
