That on almost every bottle or packet of ketchup it says, "Tomato Ketchup"?
That leads me to believe that there are other types of ketchup, I mean, why say TOMATO ketchup at all unless you need to differentiate it from another type of ketchup!
If anyone out there knows of any other type of ketchup, other then tomato, please lets us know about it! Any links you could provide so we could see them would be great!

No other kinds. It's because ketchup (catsup) is called "tomato sauce" in the UK and Australia. Putting "tomato ketchup" on the label allows uniform packaging worldwide so we all know what we are squirting on our french fries (or chips).

Ketchup is an Americanised word for sauce.
There are different flavours of ketchup, in fact you can but mushroom ketchup in England. Tomato ketchup is a thicker consistency than regular tomato sauce that you buy in Australia. Check it out on www.wikipedia.org/wiki/ketchup, also www.ketchup.wonderland.org has over ten recipes for different flavoured ketchups!
Think I'll stick to cranberry with the turkey!
Merry Christmas.
