I'd get the new 40GB PS3...There's no problem with the 60GB one, but by the 40GB one everything is fresh and new & you get a blue-ray DVD of Spiderman 3 for free with it

60GB (it has a warranty even if it's refurbed, right?). NTSC 60GB are rare to find now. Even PAL 60GB are rare to find in some european countries.

get the 60gb if you want to play ps2 games on it....
otherwise get the 40gb..

Anyone that can fit your budget. If you can afford the 60 gig one and can afford to buy the games, then go for it.
