the amount of sugar. Semi-sweet has less, so it's better for melting and using in baking b/c it's less likely to burn.

If you make choc. chip cookies w/ milk, they will still come out, they will just be sweeter, rather than balancing semi-sweet choc w/ the sweet cookie.

It won't make a difference, the cookies should still turn out fine. It's a matter of preference mainly.

Milk Chocolate and Semi-sweet (dark) Chocolate actually contain chocolate in a bitter form called chocolate liquor (there is no alcohol in this product). Milk chocolate has milk as an ingredient. Semi-sweet has no milk and has half the sugar as milk chocolate.

No, it won't make much of a difference. Milk chocolate chips are just somewhat sweeter than semi-sweet.

No, it may make your dough softer and sweeter, but basically you can use either one. Semi-sweet chips have less sugar and more chocolate and other components, milk chocolate chips have milk solids (usually nonfat), to which they had milk-fat, plus the ingredients used in the semi-sweet chips.!

I make no bakes with cocoa. That's the only recipe I have, and I got it from my aunt that used to make a humongous batch in the school cafeteria. I would think milk chocolate would have a milder taste, but semi would be like what you use in Choc. Chip Cookies. I doubt it would make a major difference. I would be curious to try some that are made with chocolate chips instead of cocoa. :)

semi-sweet is exactly like it sounds.....only partly sweet. milk chocolate is like a candy bar. dark chocolate has no-almost no sugar. you can use whatever you want.
