they're was 6 rules about photography but all i can remember is lines, simplicity, rule of thirds and framing.. what are the others?

take good notes in class? listen to the teachers, study your notes, thats only 3 but you should get the idea

If I had my way they would be called "Guidelines" since, IMO, "Rules" sounds so rigid and constraining.

Don't get the wrong idea. I fully believe they should be known and followed - until you know when they should be bent, folded or even broken to achieve what you want to achieve.
