I want to buy a house and I was told to leave my old collections alone (1 yr or older) and only pay 1 current collections entry. If I am not able to negotiate the removal, but a "paid in full" about how many points would my score go up?

Not going to change things at all, that with all the old collections by the way over a year is not old, over 5 is. Sorry all will remain on your report for 7 years and your score will not significantly go up except with paying current bills on time, reducing the amounts owed on them, not applying for credit, and increasing income to debt ratios. THis all takes time will take you a couple of years to raise your score.
