Not necessarily. Payroll, similarly accounting jobs are called back office jobs and the salary depends on the rank or level of the employee in the organizational chart of the company. For example, a Payroll manager or officers who computes for the payroll of other Managers (from all depts) gets a higher salary than a payroll rank and file employee who computes for the payroll of his fellow rank and file.

No. People in personnel and human resource management don't make much money, unless your the big boss. I administered disability plans, and underwrote the life insurance and I was paid less than most of the secretaries. Now I pretty much answer the phone and take a message and I make a whole lot more. In personell, an entry level job probably pays less than $25000.

No you don't really get paid your worth. I have come to know some of the areas pay more and some pay less. I am on salary but I agree with the first one, you don't make alot of money. But if I was in another area, the same job will could pay me more.

I do not know for sure but they do not make as much as other skilled people. my mother does this cival service but could not find a job doing this for a private company for near as much money. I would guess at only the low teens in pay per hour.
