I think do-gooder atheists probably have one of the strongest moral codes... they do the right thing not for fear of punishment in hell/purgatory or to please their church, but because they just want to DO THE RIGHT THING. It's inside them.

Being moral, compassionate, and generous are human capacities that have nothing to do with spirituality. Both believers and atheists can be like that. But, yes, Buffet and Gates' fact should break many believers' annoying stereotypical claim that atheists are all immoral. Thank you!
I agree with the responder earlier that do-gooder atheists are the most moral. They do good purely because of inner compassion without outside dogma telling them to do so and without incentive of extra credits to go to heaven or reincarnate into better beings.

I comply with an quantity, and that i'm a Christian. This became into in fact the important reason i left the church for a jointly as. it somewhat is maximum surely the case that if i've got been to % a random atheist of my acquaintance and a random guy or woman who describes themselves as Christian, the probabilities are high the atheist would be a extra advantageous guy or woman even judged by ability of Christian values. i does no longer use the expertise "information" nonetheless, ever, given it somewhat is a humorous be conscious it somewhat is effectively a technical term utilized in arithmetic. right this is my answer: there are people who shout loudly approximately how Christian they're and those definitely everyone seems to be very substantial. it quite is between God and them no count number if or no longer they are quite Christian nonetheless, and as Christ pronounced, by ability of their end result we would desire to all know them. whether, I easily have got here upon that what i call God seems to furnish me the flexibility to maintain on with my experience of right and incorrect extra definitely, and there's a ability of a few form there which seems to be from a supernatural source. Why another people who declare to be Christian are not moved by ability of this i do no longer know, and that i do no longer see myself as particular in this admire. the situation with enquiring into it somewhat is that the prohibition on judging ability i'd would desire to tread very intently. there became into those days a learn which claimed rather convincingly that non secular theory made human beings delinquent. have you ever heard of it? it would pastime you.

Atheists are great philanthropists!
Atheists are large contributors!
They contribute more "Doubt" within the world, than any other faction!

I wouldn't say we're the nicest *trying desperately to be humble* but I do think that people who believe that atheists are inherently immoral are ignorant of the real world. That's hardly debatable at this point.
I do have to give credit to the Salvation Army, which is a Christian organization.

There are probably just as many generous theists as there are generous atheists, it's just that the atheists have more to give to worthy causes because they aren't obliged to help fund the building of big, shiny churches, or all-expenses-paid trips to exotic locations for the men-in-skirts...

Are they? Seems to me you are saying 2 people out weigh millions? Granted they are 2 of the most wealthiest, but does that qualify every Atheist? I am not singling out Atheists or saying they are not, but I also would not stereo type them based on 2 peoples actions. What if Bill and Warren were the stingiest? Would you then call all Atheists 'Misers"?

Atheists do have morals - we don't need philanthropic billionaires to prove that. It is demonstrated by the fact that we refuse to ascribe to a worldview that endorses human suffering. In other words, the fact that we don't believe that some people go to heaven while others go to hell demonstrates that we are not interested in anything that is divisive or toxic.

It seems to me that if you think this is the only life anyone ever has, you would want to help make that life better for people who need help. Atheists know that they must help because there is no god that's going to do anything.
