It was 4 years ago, when I lived at the other house, and when I was about to heat somethin in, I press 1:00 but nothing appeared, I pressed a couple of different buttons and nothin happened except the sounds of every press, I thought it was broken, then suddenly I saw "CHILDREN" in the microwave text bar I was really freaked out, I remember it still 2day and this is the first time i ask it. What do you think could this mean??

My microwave was haunted?
Was it designed to say children? Please get ur thoughts out...

A manufacturer and model number would help you get a good(better) answer....

It could just be a safety measure programmed into the microwave that recognizes random keypad presses (such as a small child might make) and disables the oven until an adult can reset it according to whatever instructions may have come with the oven.

It's the children cook setting.... usually a bit longer than a slice of pizza but not as long as popcorn
