Symbols in dreams are a kind of shorthand designed to convey an entire concept in a short amount of time. Sometimes the symbols are simple and universal, other times they pertain only to you, based on your life experiences and what you think of the symbol in question. Sometimes symbols combine in the story line to convey a concept, sometimes they combine in order to present a pun that represents the concept or theme. The symbols by themselves can have many different meanings depending on things like your culture, spiritual values, and personal experiences with the symbol represented. Much of the interpretation depends on how the symbols are interacting with each other in the story line, rather than someone's interpretation of what an individual symbol means. I didn't grow up with computers, so I can't say that they have had much influence on my dream imagery, but from time to time have had dreams presented that look like cartoon animations, as opposed to real life imagery. no, I don't have complex symbols. They're usually simple. Yes, I've had a symbol in one dream I can remember. There was a human heart laying on a bed with blue sheets. I knew that this symbol meant sadness, becuase the color blue represents sorrow and I assume your heart represents feelings. And in my waking life I was sad because of certain events going on in my life. Now this wasn't so hard to explain was it? I've never seen anything computer generated in my dream but I have had one dream that was in black and white. It was weird, and it was about the past too. Yeah, I do seem to experience things that in my dreams that only seem to happen in my mind. For example, I was laying in my bunk bed, on the top, my brother on the bottom, and I slowly saw my closet door that is a couple of inches away from my feet opening. In the dream I couldn't move or speak. Then I saw two eyes staring at me through the crack of the opening..............and all of a sudden it banged open and out came a shodow quickly soming towards me and giving a loud shriek........but before it touched me, I woke up ( THANK GOD). It felt so real................I'm not sure if that's what you meant though, but I tried :) thanx for taking your time to read my answer
