Do you think the average 14 year old boy/girl is innocent still when it comes to extremely fowl words, complex sex positions, sexual words and violence?

For example, a mother might not want their 14 year old watching a rated R movie because of their innocents.

What do you think?

The average 14 year old is far from innocent. But I think the reason that many parents won't allow their kids to watch rated R moves (or whatever) is not because they don't want their kids to LEARN those things but because they don't want to send the message that it is OKAY to swear like a sailor and have casual sex.

I guess it isn't as much preserving innocence as it is setting standards of behavior and being a good role model.

that would properly be a large fat No! Too even imagine that a 14 12 months previous would not understand the that technique of foul language and sexual positions basically because they are 14 is especially ignorant. they are young children they are curious, they have extra then probably understand each of the cuss words by the point they are performed with common college. it truly is basically how life is. Now, there are some childrens who possibly clueless to it, yet maximum childrens at present understand. the proper element that would properly be performed for a 14 12 months previous and youthful is getting extra ideal sex ed into the school rooms.

Not in our town thy ar pretty much all far from innocent but honestly look at how you turned out and go from there to figure out what you watched and direct accordingly. Another thing is too instill it that you dont approve because they will probably see these things elsewhere not all parents are good parents at least then they will hav a better understnading that it isnt the right thing its just TV and it glorifies something that starts ugly and only gets beautiful when you are old enough to appreciate it. My children are still young though and I havent had to hit this stage yet so let me know how it goes...lol

Innocent? Or naive? Or just inexperienced? Or immature? Or unexposed?

There is no "average" 14 year old girl in such matters. It's like eye color: Most have brown eyes, many have blue, or green or hazel. What's the "average" eye color?

I think it depends on the reason for the "R," the maturity of the child, and if the parent is going to be along to explain things.

I have a 14 y/o daughter. She isn't as innocent as some people might think. That's the problem with the world, parents always think that their children are innocent & would never do anything that was wrong. :)

no i don't think 14 year olds are uninformed these days... but i do think parents are way too permissive.

take the 15 year old girl who HAS NO CLUE that it's inappropriate to lay in her bed in her mom's house with her boyfriend ?

i don't think there is anything wrong with kids having knowledge about sex, words, etc., but i do think they need to put forth a measure of control... and do what is "normal" for kids their age.

somehow, i do not believe parents are teaching morals, values anymore... they are too busy or something.

Im 13 and tbh apart from 1 or 2, nobody in my town over 10 is pretty much innocent.

Most of them watch stuff, and have done it , and god knows what else, presonally not me but you know.

"Fowl" words like rooster, hen and cock?

R rated movies clearly state no one under 18 permitted.
