Everytime i wear a hat this girl always puts it on adn play with it. Were friends and we text each other and all that good stuff. Also she asks me for gum all the time even if she has some. Is she flirting with me?

Do NOT ask her out til you have some idea she might like you back, too many people here say just ask her out
then you become the creeepy guy
by all means flirt back but then WALK AWAY
if she has those kind of feelings she'll long for you to flirt again and come find you, say nothing more than HI to her if you see her. it'll drive her nuts

Gals are diff in a way, when you're good friends with them, they would treat you as one of the gals. Just like my close friends, they would share drinks, food with me, even feed me, but we're not bf/gf nor touch one another, except in a joking manner. So you can't not take her gestures too literally. However, if you fancy her, why not have a go at it, ask for a date and get closer, find out the answer!

definatly - girls are sometimes have to express it by touch like the hat . She wants a piece of gum(even if she has some ) because its from you. Very sweet actually.
