What is the earliest age? Also, do you recommend an oral monthly pill..what has worked best in your experience? OTC or from a vet?

It's recommended for puppies 8 weeks and older. Get Frontline or Advantage. The OTC does not work. You can order Frontline or Advantage online for much cheaper than at the vet and you don't need a prescription.

Here's a site that sells all the major brands.

Most flea treatments are labeled for 8-12 weeks of age. We have used frontline and advantage on puppies under 4 weeks of age (not the full dose) without problems, but you are using the product off label and taking a chance to do that. They are the safest out there though.

At the shelter we have applied Advantage to 4 week old puppies. Fleas can be deadly to young puppies, so we do what we have to. Never had any after effects.

DO NOT use OTC crap from the pet stores!!!!!! Either Advantage, Frontline, or something from the vet.

The age depends on the product, usually around 7-8 weeks (there is also a minimum weight requirement, I think 2#). Oral monthly pills like Sentinel don't kill live fleas, they just sterilize flea eggs. I generally recommend Frontline and Advantage purchased from your veterinarian (most vets will guarantee their product, pet stores won't).

Dog training are excellent and very helpful to build you a stronger relationship with your dog. Read more https://tinyurl.im/UInil

After I started training my dog, he became very attached to me and loves to stay by side as long as he can. But just going to them won't help. You have to practice what they teach you outside of the class and you need to keep up with it at least every now and then after the class ends otherwise they'll just go back to previous habits. This course is a really good place to go for dog obedience classes. It get's your dog around other people and dogs to socialize while getting the training you need. As for electric collars, I would say to not get one. In my experience, they're only a negative effect on your dog. I mean of course you're going to need to correct your dog, but being positive and encouraging your dog works a lot faster and easier.

Every dog is different, so unless you have a german shepherd or a really smart dog, it might take a while to train her. You might get frustrated with her, but go easy. She's still a puppy and has a lot of energy. A backyard or somewhere to run will help her get rid of a lot of energy that might cause her to misbehave from boredom.

i personally do not like revolution. there is too much room for error when using that product as heartworm prevention. plus it get absorbed into the blood stream. i think you would be safer using an oral heartworm prevention and a topical flea prevention. i use sentinel and advantage. your puppy is not too young to start heartworm or flea prevention.

My best advice would be for you to consult with your veterinarian before starting a puppy on any flea medications, he/she will be able to answer this question knowledgeably

Get your Revolution from the vet, they will give the appropriate sized pack. It can be used on puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age, unless they are especially tiny (which yours isn't). Chalice
