Ugh, i just read that on Nascar.com Its such a dumb matter and I bet the guard deserved to be put on the ground. But anyways, as far as racing goes he will not get any penaltys or anything like that. But I bet he will get a fine from court and some community service or probation. Go Tony! #20

Great answer earlyearl! LMAO. It's unfortunate for Kasey. Hopefully this will get settled out of court and he'll need to watch his behavior for about 6 months...

I think that jerk-off is a moron for screwing with Kasey Kahnes career just because he has no life. If that old man had half a brain he would drop the charges. He has a lot of people who dont like him right now, and if I was him I wouldn't wanna show my face in public.

It takes a real big man to push around a 64 year old who is doing his job. What a classless move.

NASCAR.com says the max punishment can be a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

... I have never heard anything bad about Kasey before. What he is guilty of is simple assault if anything. Simple assault usually calls for a small fine and that's it. The lawyers are probably pushing the punitive damages because Kasey has no previous record.
... Honestly I think if the guard had any decency to him he should ask for a public apology and reimbursement of any medical bills and call it even.

The maximum punishment for what he is charged with is one year in jail. If he is found guilty I doubt he would get the maximum. He would probably get probation and community service.
Nascar probably wont do anything until the legal matter is decided. He is innocent until proven guilty.

I hope he gets off.Looks as though it will be a lawyer fest though they are all trying to make a buck off a big name and smear his reputation. They will blow it all out of proportion and before you know it Kasey will be facing attempted murder charges. Sounds like nascar to me.
