Nutmeg is the actual seed of the tree, used as a spice when grated or ground. It is not a nut like other nuts. It does not have the properties of nuts. so, it can not be compared to nuts going by the name.

Nutmeg is the dried ripe seed of Myristica fragrans; mace is the seed coat (arillus) of the same species. Both mace and nutmeg are used as flavourings in meat products and bakery goods. Nutmeg contains myristicin, which is toxic in large amounts, and may cause vomiting and hallucinations in excess.-

I'm extremely allergic to all nuts, but since nutmeg is actually a spice, I have no allergy to it. I'd assume you would have no allergic reaction to it...since it's just a spice.
