Jesse was the son of Obed, and grandson of Boaz and Ruth (Ruth 4:13-22). Jesse had eight sons and two daughters, but he is known to Bible History primarily because of his youngest son, the one who became King David. As such, Jesse was a key ancestor of Jesus Christ: "There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots ... In that day the root of Jesse shall stand as an ensign to the peoples; him shall the nations seek, and his dwellings shall be glorious." (Isaiah 11:1,10 RSV)

Yes, Father of David. There were other Jesse's most likely, but he is mentioned most often. Jesus is called the root and offspring of Jesse as well as other things.
Jesse is in his geneology also.

Jes'se is David's Father. Davis is the Seventh sone of Jesse. O′bed who is Naomi's son is the father of Jesse. Hope this helps u out.

I share your concerns about Obama. Whether he is the Antichrist as spoken of in Daniel 8:23-26, only the Lord knows for sure. But, Obama seems to have a protective circle of people around him who seem to idolize the man. Obama has said America is ready for a change, yet has not explained what those changes are exactly. If anyone speaks against him, his former pastor, or Farrakhan, they are labeled a racist. In my opinion, the man is cunning, able to draw thousands of people to him with his flattering words. Neither America nor Israel will be better off if he is elected.
