Rottweilers and Pit Bulls are both very headstrong dogs. Biggest key thing - introduce them on neutral ground - not the home of either dog. This way the need to protect their turf will not exist.
Also, remember that the leash in your hand is like a telegraph line - whatever you are feeling will go right down the leash and the dogs will feel it. Therefore, if you are nervous or anxious, the dog will naturally feel the need for concern.
Go to a park, parking lot, or someplace where the dogs can meet. Then, each person holding the dogs needs to relax, but keep a close eye on the dog. Don't allow either dog to place a foot on top the other dog - this is a sign of dominance and can create problems. If the dog's start to stare at each other, move apart and refocus the dogs - eye contact can also be a threat to the dog. Allow the dogs to sniff each other, and get to know each other.
If the dogs are neutered, it will be easier to introduce them. In tact males can feel the need to control the situation.
However, as long as the dogs have been properly socialized, they can be comfortable around each other, and find each other a great playmate.

The fact that the rottweiler puppy is 3 months old is a very good thing as far as hoping they will get along.
When the dogs meet for the first time, take them outside and take them for a long walk together. They don't need to sniff each other out at all, just walk side by side. After the walk, let them check each other out in a neutral area that neither dog feels like its "their space" and may become dominant over it. Keep the leashes loose, if a dog's leash is pulled tight, it pulls the dog up so that he is showing his chest very broadly and proud. This is a sign of dominance to dogs and it would be taken poorly.
If your pitbull is not neutered already, I would recommend getting that done in the near future. It reduces chances of dominant aggression when they are neutured. Make sure that the rottweiler puppy gets neutured around 6 months old to ensure the two dogs remain friends.
As far as a name, that's all about personality! Good luck and enjoy the new puppy and the goofy play of the puppies together!

It's ROTTweiler.
The dogs themselves will decide whether they get along or not. And whether they behave meanly or nicely will depend on the way the owners treat them and raise them.
P.S, to Rowz---Contrary to your statment PIT BULLS are not mean-blooded. They happen to make very nice pets. It's all about how they are treated and trained. In my area they are often maltreated and to make them mean. Most ANY dog can become that way when ill-treated. Just like people!!! But they can be incredibly sweet, loyal and will defend those they care about--like many other dogs. Unfortunately they are often throw away and treated like garbage when the owners can't be bothered any longer.
I've seen this up close & personal at the animal shelters where I've done work.

The most important thing when trying to get dogs to get along is how you introduce them. Do not bring one into the territory of the other at first, for example don't bring the rottweiler over to the pitbull's house. The best thing to do is to take them both on a walk together, one person holding one leash and another person holding another. This is because it is important that the dogs are introduced on neutral territory. Good Luck!

I think you mean rottweiler. Maybe name it Zeus.
PS. All you have to do to socialize the pit with the rotti is, introduce them at a young age, which right now is a decent time.
Wait ,you said two males......not a good idea.

I like the name Deacon for a Rottweiler, as far as making two dogs get along, either they will like each other or not, it's just how it works. Good Luck.
