Sorry, I don't have the intention to offend and hurt anyone.

I'm the only one in the family without cell phone for several reasons.:

1. I can be reached with my landline and I have my notebook with the Internet for communication.
2. The text on the cell phone is so small that I need my reading glass to read.

So, is it worthwhie to have one to just be with the trend in technology?

But if the cell phone gives more negative effects such as to make my English wost, then I rather not have one.

sorry to disturb as English is not my native but i found this post usefull to point out something
1- i have a weak English so sometimes i face sarcasms
2- sometimes i have to ask 3 or 4 questions to aquire the answers i need
3-when i see a poor framed question,i tell myself that "This question might have been asked by a non-english-disabled teen"
just imagine a disabled teen with a stick in the mouth ,touching the display hoping to find somebody to communicate, and she/he is not native English and only English sentence She/He knows is"Hao old you is"
do i have the right to sarcasm ? .
i know that an understanding teacher like you would answer her/his question with pleasure but i am afraid there are some
qna'ers here who are looking for these excuses to have fun
thank you for asking this question
these are serious things here which should be considered more.

It's all a learning experience with many opportunities to teach something. I don't see how cell-texting could effect my grammar and punctuation, but I notice the spell check is missing a few bits (older words like ideality and extra-USA English words) and sometimes fails to do any thing.

lol, yeah its a negative effect!
it actually depends on my moods, sometimes when i am a bit lazy to answer, i give short answers and yeah sometimes poorly framed. anyway this is polls and surveys, as they say, "anything goes"
but most of the time i try to express my opinion in proper manner.
