Hi! The muslims do not believe in the same God, and it is NOT the one of the Bible. Here is why.
1) The God of the Bible is a triune God, the Trinity. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The Muslims reject Jesus as God's Son, and also reject the Holy Spirit. In fact Jesus said, "I and the Father are One." (John 10:30) They are the same. He also says, " . . . and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me." (Luke 10:16) So as we know, Jesus is the Son of God, fully man, and fully God. To reject Him, and His deity is to reject God Himself, for they are one and the same.
2) The Muslims also believe in PART of the Old Testament, Mohammad changed a lot to fit his whims, and he also said it was full of mistakes. So Muslims don't believe a lot of the Old Testament, only some.
3) The God of The Bible gives eternal life as a GIFT, not of works . (Eph 2:8,9) if you repent and follow Christ. Muslims believe in eternal life as something earned, maybe. They believe you must perform the 5 pillars of Islam, and then maybe, just maybe, God will forgive you. But The Bible says very clearly it is by repentance and faith, NOT of any works we do. This is because God is not only a loving God, but one of Justice. He tells us that He will judge the world in righteousness (Acts 17:31) The God of the Bible doesn't forgive any sin, BUT he forgives sinners OF their sin. God already punished our sins in Jesus Christ. So through repentace and faith, we are forgiven because Jesus already died for us.
This is just the tip of the ice berg, but I hope this helps.

Christians and Jews share the same "Old Testament" but Christians also have the "New Testament". Both of these Testaments are different from the Qu'ran in both words and content (Jesus being the Son of God, being crucified on the Cross, the gift salvation, Holy Trinity, etc.).

That chapter on "the greatness of Jesus" calls him a "prophet". Christians don't quite agree with this assessment. Also, Christians have not as of late hijacked several jetliners and flown them into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. There is much in the little book of Islam (Quran) that is bitter when you really digest the words of Muhammad.

I once suggested to a Muslim that God and Allah were the same God and he about bit my head off. Muslims (as I construe) feel that the Bible was corrupted somehow and that Qu'ran is the only "pure" word.

Muslims do not have the same OT. They think that Ishmael was the chosen, not Isaac, which is where the division ends. Sarah clearly had the choice of who would receive the Blessing, and it was Isaac in fulfillment of prophecy.

Mohommed definitely denouced all scripture bearing directly to them as "The Satanic Verses" and reported such ideals had no place in a monotheistic relgion. anyhow, directly to answering the question. remember, I communicate of the wider Christian techniques-set, and not the somewhat faith itself which preaches tolerance of others... Christianity has never loved different religions. to comprise Judaism. every physique bear in mind the Inquisition? Or the reality that Pope John Paul II admitted that the church bore some accountability for the holocaust simply by fact of it is intolerence of Jews? Ever heard the age previous tale that we use the blood of a christian harmless to make our passover matzah? Christians want to piggy back off of our faith so as that they have got a love hate relationship with us, yet average won't be able to denounce us simply by fact they did borrow our God and not any different way around. The at latest out hate for Muslims comes from the reality that mutually as Jews basically ought to get with this technique, Islam became formed after the dying and hoopla of Jesus. we don't want to grandfather clause him in, yet they outright rejected him. Oh, that and Christians seem an intollerant lot because it is (lots to Jesus's chagrin, i'm particular).

They believe that Jesus was a prophet only, and not the Savior of the world. The OT is used to support their own line of prophets.

Muslims worship two Gods: 1) Allah 2) The Sword ( though today the sword has become The AK-47, The RPG-7, and The Suicide Vest)

The islamic muslims read the Coran. They believe that Jesus was real as a person as it has been historically proven. The argument for them is that he is not the Messiah.
