You might want to rephrase your question, as it is not clear what you mean. Having said that, I don't think that 15 year olds should choose what they should study. Parents and the school administration should be doing that.

That would be the age that most start high school. Depending on the school, some allow students to pick which courses they want, as long as they have a certain number of math, english, social studies, and other required classes.

Most schools leave enough room open for students to take a few elective classes. That is good, because you can get free education and hands-on experience in a particular field.

I suggest he takes a few different elective classes, and see which ones he enjoys the most.
