well, to answer your question. Idiots and Luke.
Like I've said before, people who think global warming is a hoax probably believe that gravity is just a theory

Global warming is happening - as it does every 1500 years according to the "real" scientific data. And then it'll start cooling again - as it does in it's natural cycle. There are thousands of people - scientists included who don't believe for a minute that we're heading for the "End of the world as we know it" scenario. Some scientists who have signed up to the IPCC are now trying to withdraw from it because they don't like what's happening to science, people are no longer trusting science and that's terrible. Politicians are cherry picking data to further their own ends and some scientists are giving them the data they want to ensure their future funding. Read "Scared to Death" by Christopher Booker and Richard North - and "The politically incorrect guide to global warming" - check out the authors credentials on the net before you read. Climate change isn't the only thing politics and science have colluded on - if you do a little research you'll feel sick with the glaringly obvious greed and stupidity of some of the legislation that's been inflicted on us for the governments financial gain. All it needs to get things back to "Normal" is for the people to educate themselves and demand honesty from those elected to supposedly protect us.
Science still isn't all that sure whether an increase in global climate causes an increase in CO2 or whether CO2 causes an increase in climate. Given that the temperature in the distant past was higher than it is now (before industrialisation) and the CO2 somewhat lower in certain periods of high temperature I would call the whole climate change debate just a little suspect. Don't just read what suits your current belief (probably gained mainly from media hype) - look at the other side too and make an informed decision. (Yes I've done that myself).

the only thing that there is total consensus on is that global warming has been happening for the past 13,000 years, sea level is now approx 300 feet higher than when it started.
is human activity speeding it up or slowing it down? no one knows yet because we have insufficient data at this time to make any definite conclusion, with another 150 years of data collection we should be able to decide. but you &I will be forgotten dust by then. so I suggest you find another religion to believe in instead of this ridiculous agw cult.

You must be more specific about your time period. If you have a very large time scale, 1 billion years, it is obvious we are cooling. There are very few times in earth's history that has been as cold as it is today. In addition the CO2 levels have been much higher. If your time scale is 10,000 years, we have obviously warmed since we just came out of a period of glaciation. The climate naturally varies over time and that is a fact not rhetoric. If your time scale is the last 10 years, I am certainly not convinced it has gotten warmer. Since 1998, the hottest year on record, the oceans are cooling. The Antarctic ice is at near record levels since satellites have been able to map it. You are so eager to believe it that you won't critically look at the evidence in my opinion. It seems to me that some where their belief in global warming as a badge of honor that makes them better than others. To me it reveals gullibility and lack of proper skepticism or scientific background.

well the problem is that you are already going to judge me because you assume my logic is "flawed"
i believe that lobbyists, government, and corporations are going to be making A LOT of money of this so called "global warming" much of the research that i've found tracks only several centuries rather than the natural heating & cooling patterns of the earth. I'm not going to deny that much of the industrialization at the beginging of the 19th Century has made a significant impact but i also believe that mother nature knows how to take care of herself and when it gets to be too much, she will purge herself and start over.
in the end, i think government has a vested interest in it because they want the political image that they are actually doing something "productive" with our tax dollars.
(but if it is truly as big of an issue, then i say send some of the warm air up to alberta, it's going to to -25 w/o the windchill by saturday)

The latest temperature statistics actually show that the global temperatures have been fairly constant for the last few years and the oceans may actually be cooling. We know Antarctica is increasing in ice mass.
I used to believe that global warming is happening, but now I'm not so sure.

Man made Global Warming is a myth. They are just using it to get your money. No different than cigarette taxes to get you to quit smoking. If smoking is so bad just ban it and quit taking the billions in taxes from the smokers and spending it on pork.
The earth naturally heats and cools and the amount of time we are on earth is a millisecond in time. The Great Lakes were formed by glaciers and they are gone, Greenland is called Greenland because it was once green and not covered in ice.
US industry is the most efficient ever, cars are more efficient and the air and water is clean. Just ask your grandparents they can remember when the sky was black and the water unsuitable for swimming.
A single volcano eruption or a wild fire produces more pollution than industry or cars. Ethanol requires more BTU's to produce a gallon than you get out of it, if not for subsidies no one would do it. It is also driving up corn prices that effects food prices. You also get less MPG out of ethanol so you use more offsetting the benefits.
If it was really that bad we should ban non essential air travel, close all restaurants at dark to save electricity, outlaw sporting events, outlaw traveling for vacation, live in small houses, ban swimming pools, and get rid of television,, movies, make everyone turn off the computers except for work, and everyone move to a southern area so you do not need heat and get rid of air conditioners.
One self serving awards show wastes more energy in a day than I will use in my entire life. Make the UN video conference instead of having Global Warming meetings in Bali and Hawaii
Again it is a hoax intended to scare you into doing what they want and giving up your money. Paying more for gas or electricity is not going to cool down the earth, only take my money and give it to someone else.

If Al Gore says it is happening than it must be true. Would they make a movie if the earth was not getting warmer. If everyone sells their cars and starts riding a bike we may have a chance, but if everyone keeps their SUVs we are doomed...

Most educated people don't believe in global warming being caused or effected by mankind.
Simply because there is no scientific proof.

I believe Global Warming is true. Although ChemEner the guy above me sparks a few thoughts in my head. It would make sense for the government to use the issue of global warming as another way to tax us. However, what we should be worried about, is the WARS FOR WATER!!!
