Since God is the only source of Light and of Goodness, there is neither light nor goodness in Hell. Pretty scary place.
Most Christians believe Hell is an eternal place. It's like a roach motel. Once you check in, you don't check out.
However, God has given us an open invitation to ALL people to accept the gift of salvation. All you have to do is reach out and take it.

Hell is translated as the grave, but most Christians intepret Hell to mean a never-ending, fiery torment after being judged by God. Other Christians believe that after judgement, souls who are not saved by belief in the saving sacrifice made by God's son, Jesus, will be thrown into the "lake of fire", to be consumed (destroyed) forever. Jesus promised eternal life through belief in him as God's son OR death.

Hell is a nasty place or state.
It is described as a place of eternal torment. It is often described as burning sulfur, not only flames but flames that produce a poisonous gas. You can't even breath, but yet you exist in eternal darkness and torment. One story talks about a man longing for just a drop of water.
It is not possible to get out of hell once you are there. It is possible to avoid the place altogether. Jesus offered eternal paradise a place with mansions and an eternal river of life flowing from God's throne to anyone who would make Him, Jesus, king of their life.
Jesus is able to set you free from all sin. Meaning...He enables us to no longer be gay, or no longer steal, or no longer lie....

No, you can't go get out of Hell. Its a horrible place where you are tormented and suffer for eternity. You can avoid going there if you repent of your sins, and turn away from your gay lifestyle; accept Jesus for your Savior and trust in Him to take you to Heaven. You do that ,and you are saved and won't go to Hell.

First of all I would like to know what promotes some people into wishful thinking that hell equals grave. To me that is as stupid as it gets. God cannot lie if He says weeping and gnashing of teeth I do not for one second believe it is merely the grave. But for ALL sin there is only one answer: Jesus Christ and Jesus alone.

I love John Paul II's quote regarding Hell and the level of God's love for us. I'm sure I don't have it perfect but it's something to the effect of "We are absolutely certain there's a Hell. We just don't know if there's anyone there.".

I think it resembles Vietnam circa 1968 combined with a further resemblance to a Medieval European dungeon...all on fire, and with demons to torture you for all eternity. Don't worry, if you go to Hell for being gay, you will be in good company of similarly unfairly damned souls. We could start a club!

Jesus only said "there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth". It's not clear to me if that is meant for the people in hell or their loved ones who mourn them.

Hell is dying in disbelief. However, there's no guarantee of death to escape afterlife existence. Physical death does not mean spiritual death.
Ignorance of spirit by does not mean absence of spirit.
At this very moment you are dying in disbelief.
Will you continue to disbelieve, or will you find the truth that absolves your distrust?
