I've just been perscribed sertraline, is anyone else currently taking it, or has taken it in the past and can let me know what to expect (From personal experience, rather than interent/doctor). My main concerns are decrease in sexual desire, weight gain and suicidal thoughts.

I was on it for OCD, and had the decreased sex drive problem. My doc recommended yohimbe to counter-act the problem, and if that didn't work (it did), then switching to welbutrin. I gained a little weight, like ten pounds, but after adjusting to it, there was no problem. It seems to really vary from person to person a lot and by dosage. I was at a very low dosage, and I'm quite sensitve to things that effect sex drive. Your milage may vary.

Like most other drugs like this, different people have different side effects (and some don't have any). It made me anxious when I took it. I started smoking cigarettes shortly after I started because of my nerves. But like I said, don't expect that because it may have different or no effects on you.

I had that for a long time. I was single, so I am not sure about sex drive, but I did not have suicidal thoughts on it, but I was very tired. I did have to watch my eating, but did maintain my wieght fairly well

I took it and had no problems what so ever.
My husband currently takes and there are no problems what so ever.
