Is it ripe enough to eat? I've never had one before. Not quite sure.

It could be a little more yellow, but yes, it is ripe enough to eat. The more they ripen the more yellow they turn, like bananas..

The yellower they are, the closer they are to ripe. Generally, they're still tasty when they're still green, and almost always keep some of the green at the edges of the stars.

Yours looks as if it will be quite ripe enough to enjoy.

Yes, it is... In fact, it's the ripe time to eat it now. Don't let it over ripe.

I think they start turning orange when they are ripe. I have seen them orange before.
