I mean how can you expect Chistians to be impressed by your 'logic' when every time I look on the religion and spirituality board and atheist answers about christianity they are often full of mocking comments and sarcasm. We all know Sarcasm is frequently referred to as the "lowest form of wit". Hence where is the logic and intelligence?

Moreover how do you expect Christians to be drawn to your Atheist ideology when you insult and mock Christianity?

Why are atheists drawn to Christians like a moth is drawn to a bright light?

JESUS CHRIST Loves you all!

Thanks Duke for the rebuke! But I don't think I personally insult Atheists much. However I have cracked a few jokes. And it is true my Atheist friends that some Christans can be very disrespectful to Atheists on here as well.

God bless and God Love you

Fred, I come from England! My country is renowned for its sarcasm. So think you a bit judgemental in assuming I don't understand sarcasm bcause I am a Christian. God bless and God Love you.

Darwins Darlin, if you do not believe in the soul/spirit how comes you are such an expert on the effects of pain on the immortal spirit? It is interesting to me that you know so much about the properties of the immortal spirit.

Jesus Christ loves you all! THANKS for answering!

Neilsmy... her is a classic example as requested,
"No, walk through a trailer park and see all the low lives having incest. If you are honest with yourself you will see they are damnable Christians."

This example was from the question "Are atheists more or less likely to have two headed children?" The answer previously given was from frank_adams917 if you wish to have a look.

I kindly request my atheist friends if you will participate in my Hypothetico-deductive experiment. I Hypothesize that if Atheists for a period of a month or 30 days preferably on a daily basis every morning when you wake up ask with sincerity, “Jesus Christ if you exist show me!” that Jesus Christ will reveal himself in a way you understand.

Please then email on my yahoo answer address after 30 days and tell me the consequences of the experiment. I will be happy to return the general results to people of the experiment confidentiality permitting of clients.

I believe 30 days of sincerely asking “Jesus Christ if you exist show me!” every morning should bring back some interesting results from this experiment. It is true that the Lord may not reveal himself but it will be interesting to hear the feedback after 30 days regardless of the outcome.

Hence I will wait Wait for corroboration. If there is corroboration I will deduce a consequence of that explanation.

Sadly, this whole "war" has been going on for so long - that NOBODY knows who fired the first shot...

The Christians attack the Atheists because the Atheists attacked the Christians - and it just keeps going round and round in a neverending loop!!!

So, where were you earlier, when we all basically decided to try and get along, and not ask each other any more insulting questions?
Oh, well that must have been the morning crew.
And the first thing, right off the bat, you insult our logic!!! I'll put my logic, and my ethics, up against your 'faith, and morality'' any day of the week.
If you didn't insult, we wouldn't need to mock, now would we?
Sarcasm, slides right off, unless you feel 'guilty' about something you said.
Sarcasm rarely hits the mark, if there is not one to hit..
atheists are very ''witty', in fact, we are wittier than most!
And we are NOT trying to draw converts, as we are not a 'religion;;. We will however point out to you, the error of your ways, and how ,your faith doesn't have anything to back it up, at all.
We are not drawn to you, like a moth to a flame. We come here for many different reasons. None of which have to much to do with christians per se, it is more like religion, and how utterly dumb it is. To be inspired, by a set of rules 2000 years old, and written by sheep herders.
How do you stay involved in something that threatens you ''soul, with destruction.
And answer me this.! How does a spirit, or 'soul'' suffer anything???? There is no physicality to ''bear the pain''.
So why does anyone respond to the threat of an eternal damnation,of a burning lake of fire, if it is not going to hurt?

Obviously, a very large percentage of the questions which I ask are directed towards atheists. There are some examples of friendly, caring, good atheists, like yourself. If I can make someone think differently about things, I feel like it's worthwhile to ask controversial or unique questions. I like to challenge the status quo. I could be wrong, but I think that part of my purpose in life is to reach out to people. I don't always go about this in the right way, but I am working on that.

the arguing and bickering goes both ways. but if you do look at it..majority of the mocking is on a particular side. just look at the questions. it's right in front of you.

its sad that all Christians will be judged because some people have been hurt by a few.

i get insulted every time i come on here...but oh well. im not going to mock someones belief.

i was taught to have respect and I'm going to stick with it.

It really does go both ways. You have many Christians telling me and anyone with a different faith than yours that we are in for eternal damnation and then you put the atheists in there as having absolute eternal damnation and it's quite a cocktail. No atheist wants to convert you to atheism, I really can reassure you of that. I know atheists might think that what I believe is hooey but because I'm respectful and open then I am always treated that way. I understand why they chose to be an atheist and they understand why I chose to be a theistic Buddhist hybrid.
I know many atheists who are bright lights as well. Why are Christians drawn to their questions?

Yikes! Obviously none are perfect.
I find myself actually cringing on some crude and more often then not unnecessarily comments made by my
'fellow atheists' sometimes also.

Sorry if I've ever done such a thing. Didn't mean to.
Being an atheist doesn't make you flawless.
To bad though, eh? :P

Here's a question for you: How can Christians expect Atheists to believe their "love and accept" notions if they don't do the same, if they are always judging and condemning us to a hell we know doesn't exist? The pendulum swings both ways, hun!

And may THE INVISIBLE PINK UNICORN bless you and love you too!

2007-12-20 10:51:53 · answer #7 · answered by I, Sapient 7 · 3 0

Because they forgot about the bad things they do and that makes them insult others. They don't believe that sins make your soul dirty, so they don't care one bit at all.
I believe that all of us Christians should not insult the atheists because they also are just humans.

I am sorry if sarcasm is over your head. I realize that it is very difficult to understand for certain people, such as yourself obviously. Perhaps when we laugh at christians, we should be quite clear so that even you christians can understand.

2007-12-20 10:43:36 · answer #9 · answered by Fred 7 · 4 0

I'm not trying to convert them. I'm a faith of one, like most atheists. Nor am I singling out Christians. I'm not anti-christian, I'm anti-ignorance.

Everyone has their own way of righting wrongs. Superman fights in the name of truth, justice, and the American way. Spiderman believes with great power comes great responsibility. I mock morons, especially those who cherish their imbecility.

What can I say? It's my calling in life.
