Should I do this?

Question

Should I come back to this section and try to show how we as Muslims really feel and believe, or should I just stick to my original plan of never coming back here again? I left because nobody really wants to learn or open their minds up to new ideas. I've seen some on here state false things over and over again even though they were proven wrong numerous times. It kind of makes one feel that it would do no good to show any kind of goodness or tolerance since we're all painted with the same brush anyway.

Hey, not everyone on here is close-minded. Some of us are atheists. =)

I'd be very interested in hearing your point of view, since most Americans are under the impression that Islam is a religion of violence and terrorism. Now, I've read a good deal of the Qu'ran, and I didn't quite get that impression.

Please, enlighten us!

Look, I'm well aware that your religion in and of itself does not promote violence or terrorism. Regrettably, I'm also aware that there is a deafening silence from the mainstream Islamists regarding those few among you who have perverted Islam to the point that most people now equate Islam with terrorism. Why aren't mainstream leaders in the Islamic world more vocal in their opposition to terror? Why, in fact, is there not a HUGE outcry among muslims against this? Why aren't these terrorist dogs brought to justice by other muslims? Until these and similar questions are satisfactorily answered, the non-islamic world can only conclude that you are ALL complicit in suicide bombings, kidnappings, beheadings, and other such crimes against humanity. If I were you, I would continue to come here, but not to teach people about Islam. As others have said, most people here have made up their minds already to believe as they do now, and you're not likely to win any converts. Keep coming back instead to show people that YOU, at least, decry the actions of those who profane your faith by their barbarism. And away from this forum, out in the real world, you can do much to rescue the reputation of your religion by working to put an end to this horror, in whatever way you can. Talk with those in your mosque, and come up with positive steps to take in that direction.

Well, I think it's too late to ask if you should come back to this forum, because you already have.

Personally, I'd like to see more of a muslim presence here, as I'd like to get more input on the muslim perspective and beliefs. But, inevitably, there will be those that are going to harass you anyway, so you'll have to be prepared for that.

like even though this a social kind of thing i just like wanna tell these people who think islam is all about terrorism the truth because its not true and its sad hwo the media portrays muslims

but lemme tell you something, if you change ONE persons mind about islam and muslims, its worth it. so you should still come on and show how we muslims REALLY are

you should come back, not because of religion,nor belief,that is a individal thing. You did get one thing right we are all painted by the same brush and the same great spirit is the one we all believe in.

you don't believe in Jesus. he is the son of God and God said thy shalt not kill. and you don't have the love of Jesus in you . you think God wants you to kill but he doesn't you even kill your own kind. if thay believe in Jesus. so how does this make you fill. read the bible not the korn. and you will see Jesus died for all of us.
