Cracking in Foot almost all the time accompanied with pain?

My foot makes cracking noises all the time and it is accompanied with pain? The cracking and pain comes from the middle part of the bottom of my foot. I would have seen an orthopedic doctor earlier (it has been 9 months now) but I had some 3 surgeries to fix a life threatening disease and have not had the time as of yet. I will be seeing a doctor soon but do any of you have an idea of what this could be?

You do not state your age but I see from a previous question you are Osteopenia, so you could be looking at Osteoporosis or Osteoarthritis. Good Luck
