god sent a message to us and told us how he feels. now a lot of folk's that were in the religion and political business took that message and ran with it editing as they went.you need to have a one on one relationship with god,the only problem with that is in the process you bypass the priests ,temples and bureaucracy of organized religion ,thereby eliminating the middle men.

I don't believe that an all mighty, all powerful God would need "religion" to allow us to "understand" him. If He wanted us to understand, and if he is our creator, then why would he not have created us with that understanding inherent? I believe that it is humankind that needs the "rules" because we don't understand. Yet, we really still don't understand do we? Organized religion has manifested itself in thousands of different forms and theologies, because we just can't seem to get the "rules" right.
You ask why would God just sit back and not intervene with his creation? Isn't that exactly what He does? He sits back while we destroy ourselves and the rest of his creation. He sits back while war and pestilence and injustice and intolerance are commonplace. If there is goodness and joy and blessings and peace....we thank God. If there is violence and hatred and destruction, we blame each other. How can we have it both ways?

God gave a perfect set of rules to the Jewish people.
They were intended to become a model for all of mankind to observe when God blessed them beyond all measure for obeying His commandments.
The solution is not in a perfect set of rules, because the problem does not lie in rules, but in human nature. Man has the nature of a rebel, and even if he knew exactly what to do, he wouldn't do it.
When God sent His Son into the world He sent Him to perfectly fulfill the requirements of God, and thus earn His blessing; and then He died for to pay the penalty of transgressed law, thus removing the guilt of mankind. But beyond this He also bore away the perverse nature of Adam when He died on the cross, so that being raised from the dead, He might produce a new nature which is granted as a gift, through faith.
That is why it says:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
II Corinthians 5:17
That is why Jesus said "You must be born again."

I think it's possible God communicates with people one-on-one instead of through the church or any other place of worship. If he exists, he is possibly beyond understanding, so that organized religion could have too narrow a view of him. Even if God chose to reveal himself to certain leaders so they could speak for him, subjectivity cannot be entirely removed, and there will be aspects of organized religion that are man made. Over the years, this can turn into grave error in characterizing who God is.

well, i believe that wat he gave us was guidelines. God knows that we're not gonna be perfect enough to follow every single commandment. every one of us has broken them.
also the traditions and rituals that most christians do come from the jewish faith. this was when God was there, sin was there, but Jesus didn't come yet. when Jesus came, we stopped following many of their traditions and had some new ones based around Jesus. however, organized religion has corrupted it and screwed up. it's not about what u do, it's what u believe
and God doesn't want to intervene. he gave us a choice. after all, the world wouldn't be interesting if we were all robots.
remember this is what i believe, u don't necessarily have to believe every word i say.
